Dark and Spooky Halloweentini

Dark and Spooky Halloweentini
Isn't this cocktail so cute?  All the classic colors of the season in an adorable martini.  It's a perfect way for adults to kickoff or wind down the Halloween evening.  And the only thing really spooky about this cocktail is how easy it goes down!

Makes 1 martini

2 shots (3 oz) Patron XO Café
       Tequila*
1 shot (1 ½ oz) Baileys Irish Cream*
¼ teaspoon cocoa powder
       (unsweetened or sweetened)
1/3 cup Orange Sugar**
       (store-bought or try my recipe)
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup water
In a small saucepan, stir together the sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.  Remove pan from heat and pour the sugar syrup onto a plate.
Spread the orange sugar evenly onto a separate plate.  Dip the rim of the martini glass into the sugar syrup and let the excess drip off.  Then, lightly dip the wet rim into the orange sugar.  Rotate the glass until the entire rim is coated.  Set aside.
Pour the tequila into a martini shaker with ice.  Shake until cold and then pour into the martini glass.  Rinse out the martini shaker and add fresh ice.  Pour the Baileys and shake until cold.  Hold a spoon right on top of the tequila.  Slowly pour the Baileys onto the spoon and let it gently fall onto the tequila.  This will create that top white layer.  Then sprinkle the top of the martini with cocoa powder.  Enjoy!!
