Apple Chips

Apple Chips
I love crunchy snacks! These little guys are not only crunchy, but naturally sweet.  It’s pure apple flavor in a perfect little chip.  They last for a few days, but they never make it that long in my house!

Makes 30-40 apple chips

2 medium-large size apples, cored,
       1/8 inch slice*
(Cripps Pink, Honeycrisp, or Gala                are my favorites)

       Preheat oven to 225 degrees.
Place one layer of apple slices on two baking sheets lined with parchment paper.  Bake for 1 ½ hours.
Take baking sheets out of the oven and flip each slice over.  Place baking sheets back in the oven and continue to bake for 45 minutes.  Remove from oven.  Let apple chips cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes.  Chips will keep in an airtight container for 5-7 days.

*A mandolin is great for slicing the apples!
