Creamy Ranch Dip

Creamy Ranch Dip
Talk about a quick and easy appetizer! This one can be served with your favorite fresh-cut veggies or even baby carrots right out of the bag.  Serve with a small glass of white wine, and start your meal off with a bang!

Makes 1 cup dip

1 cup Vegenaise
(I use the Grapeseed
Vegenaise)
2 teaspoons onion granules*
1 teaspoon garlic granules*
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt

In a medium size bowl, whisk together all ingredients until combined.  Serve with your favorite veggies (cucumber slices, baby carrots, celery sticks, broccoli florets, etc.).  Enjoy!

*Originally, I used onion powder and garlic powder for seasonings.  One day, I was craving this dip but I only had onion granules and garlic granules, so I used those instead.  I LOVED it! Now the dip has more of a punch and a bold ranch flavor.  Looking for a more subdued ranch flavor? Simply substitute onion powder (2 tsp) and garlic powder (1 tsp) for the onion granules and garlic granules.

Lauren Marie’s Tips:
*Vegenaise is a gluten free and egg free mayonnaise substitute.  Some mayonnaise brands are gluten free, but not all.  Personally, I prefer the clean taste of Vegenaise.  Plus, I use  the one made with grapeseed oil which is really good for your  heart.  You can find Vegenaise at your local health food store.

*When Patrick, my husband, learned I was posting this recipe he told me to make sure to mention that this dip tastes great with potato chips too!
